A detox of sorts.

So I am finally going to post some pictures...
This week...has just been a bad one for me.
I'v eaten too much...and things that I shouldn't be eating...I'v slacked on the excersise (near the end of the week) I have a bad headcold/sore through...and this acne fest on my face has seriously put a damper on my mood...I feel disgusting when I leave the house every single day. I have no idea what is doing it to me...it hasent been this bad in like 3 years!! And this is JUST since i'v started to eat better!! Ah... Bleh.

I'm just going to post some pictures from the past few days...not really in any real order..they might be special things that have come in the mail, meals, treats...SNACKS (need to stop) etc..

seriously .. you don't want to knwo about my weightgain the day after eating those babies...not pretty. good thing its water weight.

On to...not eating so much (I literally felt like throwing up when I woke up the next day...sugary food just doesn't sit well with me!)..I learned.

Cuz us canadian girls aren't as lucky as all the american bloggies who can waltz out to their local grocery store and find greek yogurt waiting for them..no no...we strain our own. lol

My lunch on detox day 1...all organic/gluten free...(literally made of honey seeds..nuts.flax..etc)





I found these to be ok for what it was..kind of plain though...

Now onto detox day 2...

My detox isn't STOPPING eating..it's just..cutting out every single piece of junk I can think of...sugary foods...and getting back on track with WW POINTS...I literally felt so grose after all those sugary chocolate dipped fruits and snack foods...so yea...motivation is coming back..I hope.

It is currently RAINING here..boo
but it is a long weekend in canada..nice eh?

I get Monday off..and i need it..
I'v been feeling really down about the fact that I doubt I will be able to take a holiday before the summer...(i should be able to) but for some reason can't.. I would have liked to take a week off to visit Lee before the craziness of summer camp starts..I'll be working 50 hours a week during the summer..with no chance of a hooliday except weekends.

Blah.

Anyways..thats about it..Today I plan on doing some yoga..NAPPING alot (because it's raining and the weekend..and I can) and also cuz i want to sleep away this head cold I have :(

RIP

Sorry guys..again no picture post (meaning tomorrow will be a doozy)

Just wanted to say..

RIP..to 2 good friends...Jeremy and James..passed away two years ago today..in a tragic car accident.

It was a relationship that shouldn't have happened..but some how, it did happen..this accident shouldn't have happened, but it did happen...and I will always miss you boys!

Jer - I will think of a good Lou dobbs put down to honour you today..because I know you wouldn't have it any other way. I will always remember you as the well dressed guy in the back of my english lecture :) The funny guy, smart guy and all around amazing guy! I told Lee, that I will always have a crush on you...and now that you are in heaven...I know we will meet again...So many people think about you and will always care for you...

Today I'll play Hinder on repeat in memory of you!!

My face hurts so bad ... :( seriously what is wrong with me! I eat clean and get monster break outs??? dude! not fair!

Tomorrow is gonna be a long day of work..

SO I thought after I had been eating ( a little bit better) then before..trying to eat healthy and clena and drink lots of water..that my skin would improve...
but its getting much much worse..

Like big pimples under the skin (that you cant see) but I can feel..and ugh..sorry for tmi but they hurt...
My boyfriend thinks it might be the hormones in all the greens im eating (protoestrogens) or something...

what do you think? any advice??

Snack monster

Today I definitly went far over my point limit..
i was just on the go so much..walking everywhere for work...
i walked SO much today..
and felt hungry..I don't think i'v had a snacking day like this in awhile

snacks included
-12 kettle cooked jalapeno chips
-snack cracker with cream cheese
-1 banana
-1 apple
-one cup of hickory sticks
- trail mix

(all throughout the day..) along with bfast lunch dinner.

sigh. oh well ...tomorrow is a new day!

yes it was one of those days lol



I'm so so tired so im going to get to bed. have an earlyish night..because my alarm is set for early to do some yoga..

Tomorrow WILL be a better day.

Goals for today

1. not fall asleep
2. drink lots of water
3. Even though i work all day - get in 30 minutes of treadmill and 30 minutes of yoga
4. have a nice relaxing dinner after working all day

I am really noticing my arms hurting from yoga I think!!

-agave/cinnamon/splenda

-strawberries

- wholewheat english muffin and white chocolate pb (pbloco) mmmm

s: 12 kettlecooked chips and a few yogurt covered raisins

L: swiss chalet: veggie burger OFF the bun with mashed potatos

s: trail mix : bananna chips/carubs/yogurt covered raisins

d: toasted sandwich on ww multi grain bread with spinach/pickles/spinach spread/cucumber and a bowl of sugerless icecream with blackberries

I find that to be alot (but it was all portion controlled) I think I ate more cuz of the more activity I did..

oh well...

Watchin the biggest loser finale 2nite..go tara go!

Long day..productive day...

Today has been a long day folks..not really a hard day..just..long.
I got up early and was cravin some eats

I posted the recipe earlier..for spinach and potato fritatta..

mmm





My dad even enjoyed this! I would make it again (and try different variations) but even though i cut the recipie in half..I would cut it again!



After I let that digest for a while I did some workin out!
-stretch
-30 minutes treadmill
-10 min eliptical

I was feelin the burn!!

Had half a larabar afterwards...and oh...what is that!? special packages?? for me???

I had to try one of the free samples they also gave me right awway!

I used it today..and the kids at program LOVED IT..They were all so curious..and said it would be more fun to eat out of a laptop lunch! lol

Anyways...after this excitment..i was on to lunch time

Had to be quick and easy because I had to be at work for 12.

Green monster and crackers it was!
In the green monster (was heaven)

- 1 mango
- 1 banana
- lots of spinach
- agave nectar/cinnamon/splenda brown sugar
- dollup of melted cocanut butter mmmmmmmmmm
- ice

and

2 rvyteea snack crackers with almond butter and blueberries





I then packed a few snacks to take with me to work..because I was there until 8..including teaching a tap class..so I needed some energy!

LAPTOP LUNCH!!

-gogi berry crackers
-strawberries
-trailmix : bana chips/carub chips/yogurt raisins
-half a larabar



Off to work I went!
i walked there..did family playgroup.
Walked up to afterschool program.
Walked from Afterschool program back to teach the tap class..

Which was the last tap class of the term..
and look what I got from one of my students! AWWW



I have a nice picture of me and the girls..but I won't post that on here..(saftey reasons)..I love teaching tap! I have a class this summer as well :)

After the tap class I had a meeting that went for around an hour..and finally...HOME..

Dinner..something quick and easy (leftovers really)

Put together makeshift taco salad using left over turkey ground round..just added mexican spice and cheese to it...

- greens
-ground turkey
- dollup salsa ranch and light sourcream
- avocado
-guiltless gourmet nachos



Dessert? Had to break open the raw chocolatechip cookies!! Omg..they are sooooooooooooooo yum!

wow..well..Im set for about a year for peaniut butter..BUT ITS ALL SO GOOD and we can't get it here where I live!!








ok bloggies..thats about all the excitment I have for ya today..Tomorrow I am going to swiss chalet with my grandma and mom..I'v already decided what I am going to eat..to try to stick within my points (as today I went a bit over) but at least it was all good food.. :)

what a way to get the day started!
I'll have pictures for you later..but this was amazing!

INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 small red potatoes, sliced
1 cup torn fresh spinach
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
salt and pepper to taste
6 eggs

1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Place potatoes in the skillet, cover, and cook about 10 minutes, until tender but firm. Mix in spinach, green onions, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes, until spinach is wilted.
In a medium bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Pour into the skillet over the vegetables. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 5 to 7 minutes, or until eggs are firm

thats right..spinach and potato fritatta! Now I cut this wayyyy in half cuz it was just for me (and it still made a lot) I used 2 eggs..3 mini potatos and halfed everything else (cept I did use alot of spinach) :) I also used soy milk instead of regular milk

I'm gonna let my tummy sit for an hour and then my work out plan is as followed..

-30 minutes yoga
-30 minutes treadmill
-10 minutes eliptical
-Walking to work and back - I'm gonna say an hour and 20

Green Monster Mania

Whattt a day. I'm not sore yet from the workout...maybe tomorrow? I really hope I can keep that up!! Every day! Woo.

Happy mothers day!! I woke up..around 7:30 today. Gave my mummmm her prezzie. I had printed off a bunch of pictures of Maggie (rip) our old dog who passed away this year (we had her for 18 years..yes..18!!) anyways had a bunch of her pictures printed onto photopaper..and had it framed for my mom!!

Happy mothers day!

So I already told you about my work out earlier...I was sooo tired after, but thats ok. Had a shower...did some running around with mom...and then cleaned for a few hours!!! But I did have time for a few snacks ;)

Before working out





After workout/shower...I had the LAST chocolate/banana muffin with peanut butter on top and a zero calorie diet pepsi :)




Lunch
- wrap with left over ground turkey/veggie stirfry - feta cheese bbq sauce and organic lettuce...all baked to yummyness with 12 kettle cooked jalapano chips!! mmm

This was so good that I had it for dinner..(had to use up the stirfry I made anyways)

Can I also just say that..I bought organic yogurt covered raisins the other day...and i am now addicted..HIDE THEM FROM ME!!! hehe.

Now onto dinner...

Ok so, you know what I'm talkin about when I say green monster..I'v seen a couple fantastic ones on several different sites..(oh she glows) being one of them...there are a few others but I can't remember them all! Anyways I decided to make one!

I used

- a big handful of spinach
- one chopped mango
- big juicy strawberries
- goatsyogurt
- skim milk
- splenda brown sugar
- cinnamon *this was so yummy in it*
- and a touch of agave nectar







voila!



My dad was gagging when i added the spinach to the blender...I asked him to try it..so he did...oh wow..you should have heard him!!! His reaction was priceless...he LOVEDDDDD IT...I wanted to take a picture of him but he was like no wayyy..haha...That just goes to show....green monsters..yum yum.



For dinner (with the green monster..I had the same wrap I had at lunch, because it was so yummy!)



and I just enjoyed 25 minutes in the hot tub!! wow it felt great!
